Design inquiry. Know more.
deepIDM is a growing ecosystem of AI tools designed to support inquiry-based teaching with the Inquiry Design Model (IDM). These tools assist educators throughout the inquiry process—from designing high-quality inquiries to implementing them in the classroom. While each tool is built on the same instructional principles, they differ in purpose, platform, and capabilities.
deepIDM Design Tools help educators create high-quality inquiry blueprints aligned with the Inquiry Design Model.
- deepIDM for ChatGPT – A custom GPT available through ChatGPT that guides educators through the iterative design of an IDM inquiry using structured conversations and AI-assisted design support.
- deepIDM for Claude (Local Edition) – A locally hosted Claude-based version that provides the same inquiry design experience while offering greater control over deployment, customization, and data privacy. It’s part of our commitment at C3 Teachers to AI Safety.

deepQ is a locally hosted Claude-based classroom companion that helps educators implement inquiries once they have been designed. Rather than focusing on curriculum design, deepQ supports inquiry instruction by helping teachers facilitate discussions, generate instructional supports, adapt materials, develop assessments, and respond to classroom needs as they arise.
